Welcome & Objectives

The Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France (3AF) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) are pleased to announce that the 3AF/AIAA Aircraft Noise and Emissions Reduction Symposium (ANERS) will take place in Marseille, France from 25th –27th October 2011.
This high-level, multidisciplinary technical Symposium will bring together leading engineers, scientists, researchers, government and civil aviation officials, industry, and policy makers from Europe and the United States as well as other regions of the world to discuss the topics and issues of aircraft emissions and noise reduction. The Symposium is being organized by 3AF and AIAA.
The objective of the Symposium is to review challenges and opportunities faced by manufacturers, local communities, air carriers, airports, governmental institutions, and non-governmental organizations to address noise and emission abatement and to develop holistic solutions that will alleviate the pressures associated with air traffic growth.
The format of the 3AF/AIAA Aircraft Noise and Emissions Reduction Symposium will be comprised of a series of invited talks in a single-session, panel format and feature leading experts in the field. The program will feature balanced representation from Europe, the United States, and other regions of the world.
